My name is Scott, I'd like to welcome you to Camden Chat, the Orioles wing of the SportsBlogs family. I'll be covering the O's, hoping to lend a little insight or humor or anything else that strikes me on a particular day while talking about the team that we all love.

I'm not going to claim to be the world's foremost expert on the Orioles or anything. I am a huge fan of the team, and I follow them quite closely, but I hope to make this more entertaining than simply shooting off numbers, though there will likely be a healthy dose of that along the way as well. We're here to discuss the Orioles - the good, bad and ugly of our team.

With that said, here's to a great 2005. Let's welcome Sammy Sosa and the other new Orioles, and hope to stop all this losing madness we've endured the last seven seasons. And, of course, I would be remiss if I did not say rest in peace to the late, great Hall of Famer Chuck Thompson.
