Wells is another guy that came over from the White Sox in that Todd Ritchie deal, a deal that haunted Chicago as they looked for steady pitching, basically until this season. Wells was very good his first two seasons in Pittsburgh before struggling last year. He's returned to form this season.

Chen's last two outings have been solid starts against the Tigers, one a loss and one a no-decision. He hasn't picked up a win since May 18 at Kansas City despite not having a bad start in the three since. The road is not his favorite place.

Win this one, and then an off-day before we head to Cincy.
