Final AL All-star spot

Ok guys, final Al all-star spot voting ends tonight, so lets get the voting done here.

Scott Podsednik (CHW)
Carl Crawford (TB)
Hideki Matsui (NYY)
Derek Jeter (NYY)
Torii Hunter (MIN)

I honestly think that everyone here should vote for Pods. He does NOT have a whole lot of power, but he will probably pinch-run and score or pinch hit to draw a walk. As you guys know he is the BEST basestealer the last 2 years. This year he has 42 SB and i am sure they will let him run wild in the allstar game. Right now Pods is leading over Derek Jeter for the all star vote.

Since unfortunately there are no Oriole players we might as well vote for someone who will help us out the most and who DESERVES this spot. Plus no one wants to see another damn Yankee in an all-star game. Soo Pods might be the best to vote for. So come on people get out there and VOTE people!

Podsednik
His lone value is in his steals. The deserving pick, to be fair, was Derek Jeter (the AL 32nd man ballot was awful), and to be unfair, screw Derek Jeter.

I would guess...
Jeter didn't make it because of the Yankees struggles so far this year, which in all fairness have nothing to do with Jeter. I was a little surprized Jeter didn't make it, Cal made the team many times over the years based more on past performance, reputation, and just the fact that people liked him. Well, fair or not, as Cal always said, this game is for the fans and its the fans who get to decide.

I have always hated Jeter, especially since the Jeffrey Maier incident, but I think he deserves respect.

This is crazy
In an article on si.com (All-Star Game Is A Joke Without Jeter)Rob Dibble said "Derek Jeter is better than the All-Star game.  This has got to be one the most preposterous, unwarranted statements I have read in a long time.  What do you guys think?

Rob Dibble
also said Bo Jackson was 50% better than Vlad Guerrero. He's a moron.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
He's evidently supposed to write crazy crap with his "hardball opinion" columns. Wake me up if you find anything noteworthy.
