Game time is 4:05 on FOX.

Aha. Ahahaha. Ahahahahaha. The Rangers are starting...John Wasdin! John Wasdin!! Ahahahaha! Ahahaha! The quintessential last pitcher on the depth chart, the inning-chewing scrub of a long reliever, the former first round pick. John Wasdin! Former Oriole John Wasdin.

And the amazing thing is, this is Wasdin's best season since 1999, when he was similarly sort of useful. If you're starting John Wasdin, you are not going to make a playoff run.

As for Cabrera, he's pretty much awesome. Outside of some occasional fits of wildness, of course. You can still never tell quite which Cabrera will show up, but the Hyde Cabrera isn't quite as bad as it was before.

This is all asking for Wasdin to throw a gem and Cabrera to get shelled, I know, but whatever.

It was nice...

... to see Steve Klein pitch 3 innings at the bottom of a blowout, so the rest of the bull pen wasn't wasted. I think thats a good roll for him - the mop and bucket man. Put him in when the game is already lost, and have him use up innings so the other guys will have fresh arms at more crucial times.

To Steve's credit, he pitched well today. I guess when the game is already lost, he no longer feels the need to give up runs.

Camden Yards needs a organ - just say no to crappy 80s music.
