This article from the official site is the first I've heard of the theory that the reason we're keeping Javy is because it's his walk year, and his last walk year inspired the ridiculous season that made us sign him in the first place.
What does everyone think of this theory? Should we expect a super-productive hitting year from Javy regardless of where he ends up playing day-to-day?
