I literally had not been out of bed today until about 15 minutes ago. I've got a nasty chest cold.

The O's spring training games started today, with a 6-4 loss to the Marlins in Fort Lauderdale. Luis Matos, Nick Markakis, Melvin Mora, David Newhan, Alejandro Freire and Jeff Fiorentino had hits for the O's. Fiorentino had two RBI on his pinch-hit double.

Rodrigo Lopez started and gave up two earned in two innings. Erik Bedard gave up one in two innings. John Stephens gave up three in two innings. Adam Loewen pitched two innings of one-hit ball and walked two.

Javy Lopez started at first base and went 0-for-3. For what it's worth, Matos started in center and was relieved by Patterson, Conine started in left and Markakis took over there, and Millar was the DH.
