Per the Washington Post, we activated the Todd yesterday and sent Chris Britton down. The Post dryly noted, "Britton had not allowed a run in 3 of his 4 appearances." This is in obvious contrast to everyone else in our bullpen (except Ray and Hawk).
But the real question is, how could ANY team, when forced to pick a reliever to dump, cut a guy who's pretty much proving himself and leave in a guy who can't buy an out? Now everyone in the bullpen basically has to realize that performance is pretty much irrelevant to their career prospects.
SEND JIM BROWER DOWN ALREADY, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.
