The second part of this article suggests a Tejada-Teixeira deal could be in the offing this offseason. The suggestion to throw in Bedard is ludicrous, no doubt, but the idea of a straight 1-for-1 deal intrigues me.
I personally would take it -- Teixeira is younger, better defensively and has more power (albeit a lower average) than Tejada. I like Miguel, but he's probably just at his peak, so if you can get a guy who hasn't hit his ceiling but is a proven major-league hitter who fills an obvious hole, I say do it. The downside, of course, is that Fahey is our only suitable SS replacement, and that's a major, major downgrade, probably something we'd have to remedy by free agency, and the SS pool looks thin this year.
How do others feel?
