Adam Loewen, LH Jason Hammel, RH (5-5, 5.31) (0-3, 6.53)
So yesterday, Jason Hammel didn't pitch at all (Tim Corcoran did), and Bedard pitched wonderfully (7 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 10 K) to get his 15th win of the season.
Today, Hammel is scheduled again, and Loewen is the opposition. Loewen has pitched pretty well for the most part, with some rough patches. Give me a 22-year old lefty with his K-rate (82 in 95 IP) on a team like this over a veteran finesse pitcher any day. Then again for all I know, Kris Benson has played a big role in teaching Loewen how to pitch at the major league level, so Kris Benson might just stop by and read this and think I should shut the hell up already. And man, Kris, it's not even you. It's me. It's us. That's alright, man. You have millions of dollars and I run a web site.
Goddamn arrogant Kris Benson...
