You know, I almost want to pick the Cubs to win the whole thing. It's not like I pick the Sox because they have the best or anything, they're just the bomb! But I do honestly believe the Cubs have a good chance, and were I a neutral observer, I'd pick the mfers. They've got the new manager replacing the buttheaded retard they used to have, talent out the wazoo, why the heck not the motherfreakin Cubs?
AL MVP: Miguel Tejada (yeah that's who I pick!)
NL MVP: Albert Pujols (he's good)
AL Cy Young: THE DICEMAN (I've decided to believe big time)
NL Cy Young: John Smoltz (he was really good last year and why not)
AL ROY: THE DICEMAN
NL ROY: Mike Pelfrey??
AL MOY: Bob Geren??
NL MOY: Willie Randolph (he should've won last year; he's a good manager)

Phillies
Of and of course the Orioes will win it all!
Cubbies Choke
I hope they lose 100 games this year, Besides I like the Brew Crew in the NLC. IMO I go with Texas this year in the west as well and the Twins in central

Lilly
ut Rich Hill is ??? Woods should just stop while he still has an arm left, then you have Sean Marshall - if he's healthy he might be OK, I don't think they're staff can stay healthy. Zambrano is going to get rocked this year and sign for a little contract (Hoping)

The Cubs pitching staff
Carlos Zambrano will dominate as he always does. He may, in fact, win 20 games as he's motivated to show the Cubs that he can be be in true ace form.
Rich Hill showed some progress for the first time since being brought up two seasons ago. He looked comfortable and fairly unhittable. A full season of him will, more than likely, be full of peaks and valleys.
Wade Miller has the ability to win between 15- and 20-games every season; if he can remain healthy. When pitching for the Astros he showed off just how good he can be going 14-13 with an ERA of 4.13 and 161 SOs in 2003, 15-4 with an ERA of 3.28 and 144 SOs in 2002, and going 16-8with an ERA of 3.40 and 183 SOs in 2001. The dude is capable, he just needs to stay healthy for longer than two months.
Mark Prior is Mark Prior. A series of hard-luck injuries has turned him into a joke, but he's still capable of turning it around.
Sean Marshall is injuried but may come back late in the season and put up better number as he becomes used to the majors.
Ted Lilly is a solid 3 or 4 guy. Plus, he's a leftie! Which the Cubs never have in their rotation for whatever reason.
Jason Marquis...is a 4 or 5 guy. He did well in the playoffs, but hasn't put up consistant numbers in the regular season (save 2004 which was crazy) to warrant the kind of contract he got but whatever.
Juan Mateo, yeah, Juan Mateo actually had some games where he showed off some great 'stuff' surrounded by a forrest of not-so-great. It's probable that he'll start the season at Triple-A, but he could be called up and do slightly better than Jason Marquis.
Kerry Wood. People have told me that their prediction is that Wood will get healthy, pitch great in the set-up, then closers role, then be promoted to the rotation for some reason. He's worked on his mechanics and doesn't look like a spazz throwing the ball, so he may be able to stave off injuries to his back but who knows.
Of course, they also have Angel Guzman (who could start pitching again instead of throwing batting practice), Carlos Marmol (who wasn't terrible at all his first trip to the 'bigs'), and Ryan Dempster (who loves to confuse and bewilder fans by either showing up or being terrible) who are all more experienced and can step in whenever one of the starters get hurt.
Deep yes
