Big League Baseball Report with ME

The Big League Baseball Report Orioles preview with special amazing commentary from yours truly is now available at their web site -- you can listen to it as a podcast, and subscribe on iTunes, or you can stream it with the flash player on their site, or you can download the MP3.

I talked with host Joe Aiello about Leo Mazzone's reputation, the $43 million bullpen upgrades, the rotation, Jay Payton, Corey Patterson, Kevin Millar, Garrett Olson and Billy Rowell, and our chances at winning the division.

We kissed our sisters against the Cardinals today, 2-2.

Hopefully you enjoy it, and thanks for listening!

UPDATE: The links appear to work now. (zk, 3/7 4:35pm)

Am I an idiot?
Because I cannot listen to the whole thing. First I tried just opening it, and it played for 5 minutes on my computer, then cut off. So then I saved it to my computer, and it says the duration is 5:06, when the website says the duration is over 30 minutes.

I tried saving it a couple of times....
...and never got an mp3 larger than 28MB. but I did manage to listen to the whole thing off the site using their imbedded player. What browser are you in? I'm using Safari 2.0.4.

re:
I've heard the same thing from others that tried to listen to it. Just stream the MP3 on their flash player if you can, I know that works. I don't know anything about their technical stuff.

Nice Job, SC
I had heard you say most of it here in one place or another, but your discussion of the farm kids was all new to me. Very enlightening.

And naturally, your voice sounds nothing like I expected. I had you pegged for a tenor, and you're clearly more bass-bari.

Well, I hear the Yankees comin'
They're a rollin' 'round the bend,
And we ain't been out of fourth place,
Since, I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Camden Yards,
And time keeps draggin' on,
But those Yankees keep a-rollin',
On to October's song.

I'm hurt.
I thought it wasn't half-bad for what was probably a total of two minutes of thought.

it was a compliment
Sometimes "Weird" Al is pretty clever!

re:
How does this interview jive with this prediction?

I'm waiting for the elaboration.

That's before SC knew about Benson
He had Benson winning 23 games, you see.

I was asked to throw bias out of the equation for the interview answer.

re:
Yeah, reality sucks.

So, we can still look forward to the two Cal Ripken bobblehead nights. I need to get one of my brothers to go to the games with his kids and pick one up for me.

Maybe they'll duplicate the Brian Roberts fiasco.
