Way to go, guy. Thank God we traded for him. You can't find talent like his on any independent league club in America. You just can't. You have to trade a good, cheap, young reliever from one of the worst bullpens in the world -- only then can you have something as great as Jaret Wright!
Guthrie looked OK. Parrish still makes me uncomfortable. The rest of the guys were fine.
Corey Patterson, Nick Markakis, Melvin Mora and Brian Roberts were all absolutely terrible in the opening series. Paul Bako is making a go of it by working counts and getting hit by pitches, but with Ramon Hernandez heading to the disabled list, we're absolutely boned at catcher between him and Castillo, who will likely just caddy for Cabrera since the two have worked together before.
Tejada and Huff are fine.
We have tomorrow off to wallow in the disgrace that was the season-opening series sweep in Minnesota. Guess where we head next? The stupid house that that tub of goo built. I like to ignore sometimes that he was the greatest hitter to ever pick up a bat.
Ah, God...
