Ramon Hernandez went to the 15 day DL today to recover from a strained left oblique. The roster move was made retroactive to March 31st, however, so Ramon could be back in action by as soon as April 14th, the middle of a home series against KC.
Meanwhile, Curt Birkins is back. Dude's a lefty. Dude pitched 31 innings last year and went 5-2 with an ERA of 4.64.
Against lefty batters his ERA was 2.40 with 14 Ks and 4 ER in 15 IP
Against righty batters his ERA was 7.31 with 13 Ks and 13 ER in 16 IP.
There's a lesson here somewhere.
