OK, we've all come to expect a classic Orioles plummet come mid-June or so... but seriously, we've lost eight of our last nine and it's the first week of May.

The Yankees are completely snakebitten, the Jays are all dinged up, and still we're in 3rd and now three games below .500.  Can you imagine where this team will be when those teams inevitably come around?

The absolutely killer thing is the number of games that we've coughed up to inexcusable mental errors, by both players and managers.  It's one thing to get out-and-out beaten by the other guys, but to beat ourselves with this minor-league BS is just getting to be too much.

I know we all have a hard time rooting for this team sometimes, but this is really about as bad as it's ever been to me, because the sum of our parts is nowhere near as bad as our team is playing.
