Gameday Thread: White Sox at Orioles, 07/13

Fancy statistical info mixed with humor and occasional recognition of the non-Oriole starter's achievements (or lack thereof) during the season.

Bedard only has 2 K through 3 innings so we should probably get rid of him - and soon.

SC's note: Goddamn Comcast. Thanks, jloving.

I'm flyin' blind here in N. Pa....
on a suckoidal dial-up connection that won't do MLB.com, natch, so I'm waiting for sunset to get the game on the frickin' Marconi crystal set here at our family, er, estate on the Mighty Susquehanna, authorized supplier of silt to the entire Chesapeake Bay.
Hey Petey: enjoy THIS!

i sympathize with the dial up
not so much the silt. depending on where I'm at, there are usually a couple nights a week I'm stuck with dialup and gameday - hate hate hate

BEDARDOMINATION
Wow.  Good thing Thome SUCKS at running.  He absolutely looked terrible.  Bedard takes advantage and K's the next two to end the inning.

Wow.  Bedard rules.

Bedard at 98 pitches
Does he stay in for the eighth?

I, of course, say YES.  But probably not.

by PhilR8 on Jul 13, 2007 8:50 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

he better
I'm not sure anyone else knows how to get an out

BP
I'm surprised he's not going with Walker or Bradford.  They're well rested.

Payton
Thank god he's there.  Gibbons doesn't make that play.

by birdman on Jul 13, 2007 8:55 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

After yesterday
I don't want Gibbons playing the outfield EVER AGAIN.

I really hope
we're not in for a Chris Ray sighting. That would ruin my night

I suppose stealing wi-fi is out of the question given your location.

I was hoping somebody's outhouse was
would be a wi-fi outlet, so to speak, but no dice.

Meanwhile I've sort of got the O's on 980 AM. One down, Ray walks somebody...

should have let roberts swing
If it's the bottom of the order, then I can understand the bunt.  But your best hitter?

Just got home
Know nothing about how this game went down, but:
  1. Bedard is awesome
  2. Bedard should've finished the game.
Anyway, O's, Stros, and Natty Bohs!

(finishes his Natty Boh)

So, about Kristen.
She is directly responsible for our two runs tonight. It's starting to get kind of scary, actually. She loves those two. And it appears they love her back.
In return, she'd like some of the incredibly elusive pictures of Markakis rockin the high socks yesterday.
