OH DANNY BOY

Dude, we can do without the 6 BBs, but thanks for shutting out the MFY.
And 2+ good innings from the 'pen, even if it was against the scrubs.
And kudos to Huffnstuff, for hitting a dinger (a salami, no less) against a real ML ballclub.
Lets take the series from these beeyatches on Wednesday.

Anybody go to last night's game?
As I said re Sunday's wonderful win over the Sawx at OPACY, the Boston people there divided into standard fans and, well, real jerks. (OK, maybe humanity divides that way, too. Was it Robert Benchley who said "The world divides into two groups of people: those who divide the world into two groups of people, and those who don't."?)
My sense of it is that NY fans at the Stadium may be simply too self-obsessed to give a sh*t about anybody else, making dialogues like Sunday's [link below] less likely. But I dunno, just wondering...

I went to an O's game
I then suggested that he send me a postcard after the Yankees exit after the first round this year.

I was there
Last season I went to a game at Yankee Stadium in April that the O's won 6-5, in the bottom of the 9th the Yanks had the bases loaded, 2 outs, full count to Matsui, and Ray struck him out looking. I was tormented for the hour it took me to get home on the Subway. They were so mean. But it was April, the O's had a better record at the time and it was such a tense ending.
Last night they were much nicer because it was such a blow out. Plus, everyone left early, so I got to sneak down behind home plate for the second half of the game.
I celebrated with about ten other O's fans on the Subway platform afterwards, and got a few ketchup packets thrown at me (they all missed) and a few jerks told me that I sucked.
The best part was watching the out of town scoreboard flash that the Red Sox won in the bottom of the ninth. It really ended the "Let's Go Tampa" cheer that Yankees fans had started.

i went to the game...
obviously, such an embarassing loss would have been a lot more fun had i witnessed it at yankees stadium, but these days w/ yanks and bosox at opacy it's sadly a distinction w/o a difference.
