The Reds are apparently considering not picking up Dunn's option during the offseason.  This would be a perfect storm for the O's: a chance to improve the offense and show our core of worthwhile players near free agency (Roberts and Bedard, mainly) that we're serious about winning.  Obviously it would all hinge on a couple of "ifs" (IF the Reds don't pick up the option, IF Dunn actually wants to come here), but it makes this year's free agent market more interesting if it happens.  I'd way rather see us throw $$ at Dunn than Jones or Hunter, which we'd be doing just to "do something."
