I just saw that Terry Ryan is going to step down as the Twins GM and by the tone of the article it seems like he's leaving under semi-acrimonious circumstance and not just retiring.
I have a world of respect for Ryan especially considering the economic handcuffs that the Twins operate under. Wouldn't it be great Ryan he re-joined MacPhail as the GM for the Orioles? Ryan was MacPhail's scouting director and director of player personnel when MacPhail worked for the Twins and they worked pretty well together.
I know it's not going to happen just like Paul DePodesta won't be hired to work for the Orioles either, but it's a nice idea to have for a couple of hour until reality intrudes.
