Wakefield not looking so good tonight.

I've always liked Wakefield

I love odd pitchers.

But man, I really don’t mind seeing him get rocked tonight.

I wanted to get excited about our new fishy overlords

but I remember the Indians took a 3-1 lead on the RS last year and still lost.

Did you know

that the Red Sox have been down 3-1 AND 3-0 before? Have you ever heard those facts? Buck and Ron will remind you every five seconds if you were to forget.

It really sucks that there is a day off tomorrow

All these days off during the playoffs are so lame.

Even if Sonny can't finish this one out

The Tampa bullpen is too good.

My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

It is actually pathetic

That Fenway has emptied out two nights in a row before the 8th.

real fans

but sort of in their defense, as a former Boston resident, the subway is majorly fucked at Kenmore before and after a game.

Yeah That's True

but still pretty pathetic.

I never knew a blowout could be so exciting

Great game. I loved what I heard from the fans at Fenway – nothing. Whimpers. Red Sox fans can get on a plane and come to Camden Yards and yell their asses off for the Sox during the season, but they can’t get it up for the Sox at Fenway in October?

Well, I guess being outscored 22-5 had something to do with it.

PS How long until bitter Sox fans start flooding forums with World Series ratings information? Hypothetical question of course, since the Red Sox have a history of overcoming seemingly insurmountable deficits… but I like to pretend. I’m guessing that Red Sox fans start mentioning what a “ratings disaster” a Rays/Phils WS will be as soon as they (hypothetically) lose.

Ellsbury may be a bit faster

but Jones is a definitely the better prospect. More power and Adam plays great defense as well. And I think Adam has the better arm as well.

I am going to mention this on LL right now

But AJ has verbally committed to working with Brian on stealing bases, and you have to also assume that he will add a lot more power in the coming years.

I almost feel bad. Whenever AJ is brought up on LL, the tone becomes borderline suicidal.
