Not a good matchup for the Phillies given Moyer's postseason, but as you can see there wasn't really a drastic difference between the two in the regular season. Of course, to quote the greatest sports radio caller ever, "It's not the regular season you dork!"

I'll be watching UFC with a friend of mine from Bloody Elbow tonight, so I won't see the whole thing or nothin'. Well I'll DVR it in case anything super magic happens.

Closet

I’m a bit of a closet Phillies fan, having one side of my family from the Philly area and going to a lot of games at the Vet when I was a kid. Classic days of Mike Schmidt, et al. A good friend from PA is a huuuuuuge Phightins fan, so we’re sharing text messages non-stop rooting for the NL to pull it out. I’m conflicted, however, because I’d like to see the Rays take it, too. I’m sure very few people are actually watching, but I’m hooked.

Where are you from...

It definitely is not cold… not by Philly standards… hell, not by Virginia Beach standards either.

Easy now, Tim

Go Phillies.

My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

Extra innings anyone?

Curt never met a buttered roll he didn't like.

Nope

I don’t understand why you try to make a play on that one. Rookie mistake, but the likelihood that you scoop and throw the ball in time is very low. I guess you would look very stupid, however, if you ended up watching the ball stay fair and lose the game.

Longoria's lob?

Yeah, that was the perfect place to hit the ball, not counting the huge gap in the outfield or over the fence.

That whole thing was a pretty incredible series of fuckups. I guess the FL team went dumb in the cold or something.
