One more time: Remembering Wild Bill and Pat Santarone
Just in case we have only tonight left in the 2008 baseball season, I wanted to take one more moment to remember two great Orioles that never once put on a baseball uniform. Wild Bill Hagy and Pat Santarone, this one's for you.
May you rest in peace, friends, and may the Orioles soon return to glory.

If I'm not mistaken
both photographs were taken at the late lamented Memorial Stadium.
In that case, make it a third “great Oriole” that never put on a uniform. I had more fun at 33rd Street and the surround environs than a human being should be allowed to have. A lot of it had to do with Hagy and Santarone too.
One of my most prized possesion:
Two Memorial stadium seats after the Ravens played their last game there in 1997. I like the Ravens, but I’m a Packers fan, but I’ve always maintained that If the Colts had stayed in Baltimore, I would undoubtedly be a Colts fan. The Redskins were never an option.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.
