NLCS Game 1 Thread: Dodgers @ Phillies
The NLCS is on Fox this year so we're treated to the dulcet tones and brilliant insights of Tim McCarver and Joe Buck. It's the bottom of the first and LA has a 1-0 lead courtesy of a Manny Ramirez RBI.

Why are there games off in the middle of the series?
When they’re not traveling? Is that always the case? And I don’t even want to hear TV scheduling there are only two games going on.

Probably because
They have no competition and want to prolong things.
My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

Go Dodgers!

You might be surprised to know
that Manny Ramirez didn’t just drop out of the sky and into a Dodger’s uniform. There were reasons for the trade! Manny is Manny! They weren’t gonna take it anymore!

Lowe has lost it
that was a line drive of a home run.

Now that was a loud stadium
That place exploded on those back to back homers. I’m sick of hearing about how the Trop is rocking, give me a break. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised is Sox fans comprise 40% of those in attendance tomorrow.

I really hope that if we ever make the playoffs
We don’t give away those stupid towels like they have in a few cities this year; it perpetuates the circus atmosphere, which I don’t want at a baseball game.

Cool write-up
Believe me, most of us want the smiling bird back too.
