Bradley Hennessy III

OK, so I don't know if it is Bradley or if he is a III but he has been signed to a minor league deal per Roch's bloc per mlbtraderumors.  He is 28 years of age with a career record of 17-23 with a 4.69 ERA.  So there's that...

What do you guys think of Hank Blalock?  I know he's hurt all the time but I think the Rangers will probably get rid of him.  I know they want pitchign and we want pitching but I bet he could be had in some round about way. May be 'spensive though. Just a thought.

Who is Brad Hennessy...

… and why should we get interested in a guy who is 17-23 with a 4.69 ERA for his career?

theoretically

because he could qualify as our second best pitcher next year.

Except he was absolutely awful last year.

Blalock is more valuable as a DH.

He can’t play third anymore… He can pass for a first baseman, but he isn’t Teixeira.

The only guy I think the Rangers would have any interest in is Jim Johnson… and you guys would be idiots to go there.

blalock

is both younger and better than I thought.

I mean, the OBPs not great, and he’s not much on defense (from what I hear) but he had a good deal of power last year

of course, this is in arlington.

He strikes me as Melvin Mora minus 7 years. No go.

No no no

Blalock doesn’t have the kind of post season heroics Mora does. Not to mention Melvin’s skills laying down a text book, perfect bunt every time.

We’ll probably need some Hennessy to watch Hennessy. Ha!

Hennessy

Fine add. See what he has. I suspect he was hurt last year and with pitchers sometimes they recover and sometimes its a downward spiral.

No interest in Hank Blalock at this time. Maybe when he is a free agent. I certainly dont want to give a prospect for one year of him. We are trying to add prospects not give them away.

Blalock

from what I’m hearing around here (OK / TEX) Blalock may be a piece of any trade involving the Rangers along with their plethora of catchers. I didn’t necessarily mean go after him just thought he might be out there for the taking in a multi team deal.
