YO, NEW YORKERS.

I'm done campaigning for the time being and I've got my life back. How does this relate to you, you ask?

I'll be in your hood next weekend with Kristen (remember her?). We'll be tearin your city up without much of an itinerary yet...care to get a beer? Finally?

Alas
I'll be in South Carolina for a family getaway.  Have one for me though.

dave, i'm hurt
did you not see Yuri and me looking fat and drunk a few weeks ago?

I'm down with this plan. Have been crazy busy, but by next weekend, me schedule will be lighter.

Yuri's got a new job, but I bet he'll dive in. And wayward O is also in these parts. He almost joined us last time.

I have plans Sunday night, but am cool Friday or Saturday. Just tell me where to be, dahling.

i'd love to actually hang out with some o's fans, but i shall be in north carolina as of this friday through monday, so i'm guessing i'll miss the festivities.
now that i know you are all in the area though, i'm thinking maybe we should all get together for opening day? just a thought...

Do we remember Kristen? Who could forget them?

The Moscow Chapter of CC will join you in spirit. In fact, we'll be the spirits sitting immediately to the left and right of Kristen, making Harpo Marx-like Honk-Honk noises.

Forget it, Jake. It's Birdland.

p.s. 26: Congrats on Obama's continuing success
There's a long way to go yet, and this particular river-- the Democratic party-- is well known protruding rocks, hidden shoals and sudden, er, whitewater-- but it's becoming more and more apparent that the country is not interested in the un-new and un-improved Clinton...and may be ready to enter its Barack Period.

OK...
I can be free on Saturday night for dinner/beer.
I'm staying around 52nd & 8th. Is that nearby anyone else?

by RobG on Feb 11, 2008 1:02 PM EST up reply actions

not near me, i'm in brooklyn...
but a soho plan has emerged downthread. pretty easy to get from hell's kitchen to soho. you could take the C from 50th/8th to spring street and walk 7 blocks, or you could take the R/W from 49th/7th to Prince street and be a block from the bar.
