So, Bedard has been removed from the top of baltimoreorioles.com and replaced by Guthrie, leaving he, Roberts, and Markakis to express their love for "Birdland"; a slogan that leaves much to be desired and even more to be explained.
Anyway, the real reason I wanted to bring this up, outside the "news" of such a change, is that I'm wondering about Adam Loewen. Do we feel as though he has earned his place on the Mount Rushmore of baltimoreorioles.com? Is this premature? The guy pitched pretty well in 06 and before being shut down in 07 was pretty all right, but I'm sold on him. I'll agree that he needs to cut down on his walk rate, but outside of that is he worthy? Me thinks...so.
And what are your predictions as to whom will grace Rushmore first? Loewen-stein? Jones? Weiters? Rowsdower?
My vote is Loewen followed by Weiters. That's not to discredit Jones, but I see him as more a solid guy for the first two, three years whereas Weiters will be a superstar catcher in one.
