PrintPersonally I think this is a dumbass move, but on Roch's blog, he indicates that the Os have signed Trachsel to a minor league deal with a spring training invite.
Personally, I'd really rather see the rotation filled out with kids. What's Trachsel gonna do, teach 'em how to take 2 minutes between pitches?
I don't see a whole lot of point to the "veteran presence" nonsense, or the "he'll teach the kids." Isn't that what we have a pitching coach for?
