Camdent Chat Mentioned on MLBTraderumors.com
I know people aren't keen on mlbtraderumors.com or any mention of them on this site, but I thought this would a nice bit. They've mentioned a thread about a Roberts deal to the Cubs in their list of Baseball Blogs Weigh In segment.
Kind of neat publicity.
Where are your thoughts on this trade now that Cintron has been signed by the Cubs to a minor league deal?
Personally, I'm all about trading Roberts now and investing in the future if the Os get some talent back, specifically middle infield talent, in the trade but I just don't see that happening if the Os get Cedeno in a package. Are there any other teams, outside of the Rockies and Dodgers, who might be viable options for a three-way deal?
Juan Uribe? <shutter>

Keep BRob till the deadline
So let's keep him until the trade deadline and see what happens. If he continues to be the BRob we all know and love, he'll just just as valuable, if not more so, and MacPhail can strongarm some team into giving up some nice guys.
except not.
Specifically, per the Sun:
"I would never call this organization and say, 'I want to be traded. I need to be traded,'" Roberts said. "I signed a contract. I signed a deal. I understand when I make a commitment, that's what I'm here for. But as I said earlier, you want to win. ... For this organization, if it's better to send me to another place and get a couple of pieces for down the road, I understand that, too. The sooner the chance I get to win, the better off."

Since when aren't ppl keen on MLB Trade Rumors
I love that site, read it as often as CC
MLB Trade Rumors
But I applaud them for their overall effort and commitment to what they do. Here's the awful, nasty truth about ESPN Insider, for those that have never subscribed: They make you pay for what MLB Trade Rumors gives you for free. They cull newspapers and print every single possible rumor that floats, be it from a source or somebody's ass.
Don't ever pay for ESPN Insider for baseball trade rumor info. There are lots of good reasons TO pay for Insider, but not that. It's out there for free.
