CC Fantasy League

Did anyone else know that our fantasy league had its draft the other day?  I thought I had been keeping up on it, but I didn't receive any notification of when our draft was going to be, and next thing I know I have Scott Podsednik on my team.

Ah well, I had set my prerankings, so it wasn't a total bust...did this happen to anyone else?

Remind me...
where did we have the league again? I can't remember if I signed up, but I probably didn't...
I remember 14 straight foul balls in one at-bat.

that email surprised me too
But my team isn't too bad. I'm not used to having an entire team's pitching staff instead of individual players.

We had a draft?
I knew nothing about this...and I really wanted to be in the league

in fact
I mentioned in two separate threads that I wanted to be in it.

Fantasy O's numbers
Any of our boys (aside of Roberts and Markakis) look like they might be worth something this year?
Ahh, well, you know. Its a team effort and I guess it took every player working together to lose this one. - Doug Remer

Fantasy O's
Adam Jones is worth a late round flier.
Jeremy Guthrie is a nice addition to filling out a rotation.
George Sherrill is highly overlooked for saves.
Luke Scott could be one to watch for waiver wire power numbers.
Adam Loewen and Daniel Cabrera have some fantasy value, but I would only go to them in desperation.  I used D-Cab last year when he got the glasses and started dialing up good starts.  I just needed the K's as one of my top pitchers went to the DL.
Ramon Hernandez could be a steal if he puts up numbers like 2 years ago.  I know most people are overlooking him, but the catcher's spot is so shallow with talent, that he has a fair amount of value as a late round flier in the draft or a waiver-wire pick-up.
