Below .500 Soon
We're losing more and more now and with another game vs the White Sox,
and then the Yankees coming to town, this team is going to be back at
the bottom of the standings very soon. The O's are looking badly on the
mound and with the stick, the offense is looking strait hideous. Millar
looked well in the win against Toronto, but other then that he has
recently been stinking it up. Thank god for Markakis, Roberts, and Scott.
I
knew the team would not stay hot for long, and the year would have many
ups and downs, but I hoped I would be wrong. We have a good young
nucleus and it's going to take time to develop them, as we all know. So far I've been fairly impressed with the new guys, but
disappointed in some of the veterans like Mora (defense been great) and Huff. If there play keeps up and the team keeps losing, something will have to change.
If they do stay the same and the team keeps losing I would be all for trading Huff and Mora.
If we are rebuilding we should do it fully. Bring up and develop a 1st
baseman and put Millar at cleanup would be a good option if a trade
does go down. I hope I am just being overly negative and the team will
pick back up and start winning again. All I know is if this team doesn't start winning and upping attendance in the
next three seasons, I see the team relocating in the future.

The Baltimore Orioles will never, ever go anywhere.
Never.
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever.
It is the one thing I truly believe Peter Angelos would never allow. The Kansas City Royals haven’t moved. The Pirates haven’t moved. People don’t remember that Major League was more than just a movie in some ways, that the Indians really did stink solid for 50 years, and they never moved.
The Orioles aren’t ever leaving Baltimore. Ever.

The Orioles are a license to print money
With 90% ownership in MASN, which holds the almost-exclusive broadcast rights to 1/15 of the league, and the minimal amount paid to the state for rental of OPaCY, this team is swimming in cash. It’s not going to make that money anywhere else. The Baltimore Orioles are here to stay.

When the talk of EBW moving the team to DC began
I was just born, but reading about it, and imagining the Orioles being in DC, no matter how much closer they are to me, just wouldn’t seem like a good idea.
After the Colts left Baltimore, the fans there decided they would never ever lose the Orioles and so they will never ever move.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I would be really destroyed if the O's moved
but it’s not going to happen for all of the reason already mentioned and the fact that, even with the O’s being this bad, they ARE Baltimore, as important to the city as the Inner Harbor and crabcakes.

The thing about trading is...
you have to find someone to trade WITH.
And unless we’re offering to eat 90% of Huff’s or Mora’s contracts, no one will give us even a bucket of used batting practice balls for either (or both) of them.

I'd trade
Mora, Huff, and Payton at this very moment. Mora is really pissing me off. Although his glove has been very good, he acts like a Tejada clone and appears to be swinging for the fences (and subsequently getting called out on strikes) damn near every at bat when a well-placed base hit would be quite enough. I can’t stand it!

well, honestly
I think it’s more that Mora is 36 years old and just not very good anymore. A well-placed base hit would be super, but I don’t think he’s not getting those for a lack of wanting to.

Let Moore
replace Mora

Let me replace Mora. I’m also good field, no hit, except I don’t come with a multi-million dollar price tag.
Plus, my namesake hit above .300 with 19 dongs in 1985. That’s good for something, right? Like, batting cleanup in this lineup?

I've said this before
I believe the only hope the O’s have for turning it around is Peter Angelos’ ego. He loves Baltimore. While he’s definitely used his power to his advantage and done some questionable stuff, he’s also contributed to the city and surroundings. Most people don’t pay attention to this.
I think it bugs him that he is reviled because of what he’s done to one thing people do pay plenty of attention to: a local sports franchise. He’s driven it into the ground and has alienated pretty much the entire fan base. The only way to restore his general image is to bring the O’s back to respectability. He won’t leave the scene until he’s able to walk away with some salvaged pride.
Now let’s see if he can get out of his own way and do it. That’s an entirely different issue, and I’m not so sure he can.

Maybe we need to start bringing
“WE LOVE YOU PETER, NOW SELL THE DAMN TEAM!” signs to the games
