"I just relish this opportunity," said center fielder Adam Jones, 22, the key man in the Bedard trade. "Millar keeps telling us there are seven billion people in the world and only 750 of us get the chance to be in the big league. So play like it."
He might be old. He might be fat. But I think Millar's brand of veteranacity is the kind you might actually want on a young, rebuilding team.

Huff should take notes
Millar gets involved in a controversy re: throwing out a pitch at a Boston game. We were all fired up about it, but reading quotes like the one above really make you forget all about that silly controversy.
Does Huff pass along sage advice and nuggets of veteran wisdom to the young guys on the team? If so, do we just not hear about them?

it's Millar's entire personality
I bet you anything that the young guys, if you asked them, will tell you Aubrey Huff gives them tips and tries to help them along.
Huff is kind of a PR jackass, but I don't think he's a genuinely bad dude.

I bet Huff gives great advice....
"Hey rookies come on over here, I'll tell you where to get the best lap dances in any American League city."
