How does David Steele stay employed???

read this, if you can:

http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/baseball/bal-sp.steele21apr21,0,1494896.column

does he have any idea what he's talking about?  can anyone else figure out what he's talking about?  who the hell cares about Jason Garrett?  or Joe Girardi for that matter.  i just don't understand how a perfectly respectable paper allows Steele to write a column like this.  it has NO redeeming quality or thought provoking message.  just more pandering.

The Orioles Got What They Needed

A dumbass manager who does things like bunt his way from two on with no out and Nick Markakis coming up to bat to two on with two outs and exiting the inning with no runs scored.

Michael Steele is a yutz.

Criticizing Joe Girardi for not taking the Orioles job was bizarre. “Hmm, I could work for that lousy team that fires their manager every year or I could work for the team I used to play for that always makes the playoffs and has A-Rod. That’s a tough one.”

I hate Baseball coverage in this town

The Orioles coverage in this town is pathetic. Its insane that the three Sun sports reporters go to the f-ing Ravens mini camp and yet none seem interested in covering the Orioles at all. And that free paper is even worse. How the hell does UMBC lacrosse get front page over the Orioles killing the Yankees. Hell, I’m a UMBC student, guess which game I went to that weekend. I did six years in the military and I got family all over the country. Angelos isn’t the worst owner in baseball…hell, he isn’t the worse one in the American League East. I’ve come to the assumption that people in this town are so used to Orioles losing, that they would rather see a shitty season so they can call into radio shows to bitch about Angelos. My brother is lives in Fort Worth..now there is a sad ownership.

The coverage

is awful, no question. The club is also clueless when it comes to marketing and PR so that doesn’t help much either.

But the owner is fucking awful. The worst? Who’s to say? Bottom 5? No question. You take a franchise that was as good and popular as the O’s and turn it into this and people are going to bitch loudly – and they have every right to.
