Baltimore Orioles @ Seattle Mariners

I'm taking time out of my Caps watching to post this for SC. It's 3 in Seattle, then 4 in CWS, and 17 of our next 20 on the road. This is a stretch the O's usually face in August, just in time to flush the season down the toilet. So maybe the timing actually works in the O's favor.

And for the record, the refs in the Caps-Flyers series make Richie Garcia look like he knows what he's doing.

Go get 'em, boys. It's a long time before you get to unpack, so I hope you packed plenty of momentum and clean underwear.

I’m amazed the Flyers surived the third period (which for anyone that didn’t see it, the Flyers were on D the whole period and outshot like what, 15-5?).

They played a great series, but I agree the Caps have the brighter future.

(Flyers fan, but I’m also a fan of the Hershey Bears, and some of my favorite ex-Bears are Caps now.)

Ovie set him uop beautifully with a fake slap shot, and Fed has all net. But he didn’t realize it was a pass, and didn’t have his stick down. THAT was the game. That and the no-call on Philly’s 2nd goal.

Flyers second goal was a bad miss. The tripping call was obvious, as was the one 5 minutes before that wasn’t called.

I don’t hate on other teams just to do it, but when I said before that y’all that don’t have to see FSNs anymore don’t realize how great MASN’s production is, I meant it. And when I tell you that as annoyed as I can get with Gary/Buck, Gary/Jim, Jim/Buck, or the dreaded Double Shot of Jim, they kick the shit out of a LOT of broadcast teams.

Thom Brennaman is getting a boner about Van Halen with David Lee Roth being next door, though.
