White Sox 6, O's 5: Ran-dooooor!
I'm pretty drunk.
Karaoke songs for tonight: "Bring it on Home to Me" in the style of Wilson Pickett (they don't have Sam Cooke's), "Man in Black" in the style of Johnny Cash, "Faith" in the style of George Michael, "Brown Eyed Girl" in the style of Van Morrison, "Jump Jive n' Wail" in the style of The Brian Setzer Orchestra, "Talk Dirty to Me" in the style of Poison
And mad help on "Don't Stop Believin'" in the style of Journey and "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the style of Queen.
I did catch the end of the game since it was on WGN at the bar, and the Anderson single went through, and the White Sox fans all said, "Yaaay!" and I was the only one who said, "Aw balls."

Anyone know if they have team stats for most LOBs?
I don’t know why I want stats like this. I think I just want a quantifiable justification for my disdain of our offense.

That came up in a game thread the other day
I think the franchise record for LOBs in a season was 1334 by the St Louis Browns. That works out to 8.24 LOBs a game over the course of a 162 game season. Not sure what the O’s are at right now, but we’ve got to be close to that pace.

found this view at cbs sports extended hitting stats

I suspect the O’s rather anemic batting order will keep them from even putting enough men on base to challenge the record.

I guess a more appropriate statistic..
would take into account a ratio like men on base vs. LOB. I’m assuming we’d be tops if they took that into account.
