First Place
Who would have believed the Orioles would be in first place in the A.L. east.
unbelieveable. The Orioles are playing good baseball at this time & are
not looking like what the pundants said they would be.of course the pitching
has been our strong suit & the bullpen has done a complete turnaround.
They have been great at coming from behind & the manager is a throwback
to days gone by.As unbelieveable as this has been,I dont believe this is a fluke.
What I like is it has been a team effort.Everyone has contributed & moves
have been made.I like the direction this team is going.

Yeah, I’ve missed Lee Mazzilli and Sam Perlozzo.

I view this April as winning the mini-lottery. You scratch the ticket and win maybe $500. It’s nice, but then it still barely dents your mortgage. I keep wondering, like we all do, when the bill man is going to come knocking for payment.

now here I've been
telling people this year is so much nicer than early 2005 because nobody believes in it and so nobody will be let down later. I guess winning is ultimately too seductive for that.
...one more dying quail a week and you're playing in Yankee Stadium...

They probably can't read anyways
Besides Jeremy Guthrie, who went to Harvard or some shit.
My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver
