The Orioles are my good child right now

Also, Luke Scott is fun.

Guthrie

I can't believe Guthrie actually managed to get 7 innings in. I turned the game off for a while after the second and he was already up to about 50 pitches by then.

Our Pen looks good, especially compared to last year, but that won't last if they are thowing 4+ innings/night.

per roch;

//It wasn't until today that I realized the Orioles stopped playing the Orioles Magic song when taking the field after Opening Day. And they haven't lost since eliminating it.

Players hated it because they didn't think it fired up the crowd or the team - they were making fun of it in spring training - but the song was blaring in the clubhouse today after the Orioles scored three runs in the ninth to win, 3-2. Kevin Millar cranked it up on an iPod while eating his post-game meal. He waited until the media was allowed inside. And then the fun really began.

Millar began clapping his hands to it, keeping the beat to a song that used to be ridiculed, and teammates joined it. At one point, Millar, Jeremy Guthrie, George Sherrill and Brian Burres were slamming their hands on the table in unison. They enjoyed it so much, they played it twice.//

What the media is saying....

AP wire story quote

"The Orioles were 4-87 when trailing after eight innings last year, and they went 13-31 in one-run games. But after one week of the 2008 season, they stand alone in first place in the AL East."

Fucking Great

My (surprise, surprise) MLB.tv was all fucked up in the ninth inning to the point where I shut it down and rebooted my computer - when I finally got it back there were 2 outs in the Bottom of the Ninth. Then the fucking MAGIC HAPPENED!!!!!!

This thread is birdland

Camdenchat is birdland baby.

SC, I just saw the episode where Winnie craps all over Kevbo until the very end. I was afraid the episode was going to turn into "a very special Wonder Years episode" warning about the danger the drugs. But luckily, it was didn't go there. Good stuff. Great day overall, I saw a great game, I shot a personal best at the golf course, and then I saw an awesome eppy of Wonder Years.

5 over after 8 holes

I stuck a shot to about 3 feet for a birdie on the 9th . Then I freakin holed my third shot on the par 5 10th hole for an eagle. That's 2 over after 10. I went bogey, par, par. I made to the 15th but it was pitch dark. But I was like the priest from Caddyshack. I had to go on. I couldn't see the ball at all after it left my club. It was tough par 5 with a lake down the right hand side. I somehow made on the green in 3 shots but I three putted. 4 over with 3 to play. I had to quit but I assure you that's the lowest I've been after 15 holes. So it's kind of a cheap personal best but I figure I can finish the last three holes this weekend.

Wolf, wolf, wolf.
