Ramon is a spring chicken
"We have a young team, including me, I'm not old, so we have energy," catcher Ramon Hernandez said. "We don't really have any names that make you go 'Wow,' but we have guys who want to play the game. Everybody is doing their job and if we keep working as a team, we'll be able to do some good things."
The secret is really no secret at all, he says.
"We're having fun and we're playing good baseball," the catcher said. "We're playing the game the way it should be played. It's clean. We are making the routine plays and moving runners over. The little things you have to do to win. That's why we are winning."
Add, "even though I'm batting .130, we are winning."

"We're playing the game the way it should be played."
The game should be played with nine players on the field, bats, balls, and gloves, so I guess he's right, but STFU with this shit. The last thing I want to start hearing about are "grinders" and "character guys."
C'mon man
Grit, hustle, heart, determination, all of these things are totally birdland. Forget about actually scoring more runs than the other team to win. It's all about heart. (The sarcasm is indeed there if you can't hear it via the interweb).
actually, that was a formatting error
Ramon never said that part.
I made a block quote, and then put
Add, "even though I'm batting .130, we are winning."
as my wry commentary on the outside of the blockquote. But the blockquote didn't show up in the published version and CC does not let you preview fanshots. That seems like a bug to me.
the blockquotes are goofy sometimes
Damn. I really wish he had said that. That'd be very YAY TEAM-y, but not in that, "We're playing the game the way it should be played" way.
