Gameday Thread: O's (19-18) @ Royals (15-21)
Baltimore @ Kansas City
| Today's Starting Pitchers | GS | IP | ERA | WHIP | BAA | BB | K | W-L | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Brian Burres - LH | 6 (7) | 36.2 | 3.19 | 1.34 | .254 | 14 | 20 | 3-3 |
![]() |
Brian Bannister - RH | 7 | 42.1 | 4.46 | 1.25 | .259 | 10 | 24 | 3-4 |
Game time is 2:10 on MASN2.
Burres has probably been pitching above his head, but I'll take it. Bannister started the year red-hot, but has cooled some. Still, he's a good young pitcher that any team would love to have. Perhaps a team such as the New York Mets.
We look to continue our ridiculous winning streak against the poor Royals. I mostly just feel bad for them at this point. I mean, it's cool that we always beat them, but come on. Even a crappy team like the Orioles wins two of three against the Yankees sometime.

Cintron has been called up
I would expect him and Boom Boom in the starting line-up today.

TB v. LAA: Santana gives up 3, *just* making it out of the 1st.
Y’know, the Raze look, well, pretty good. Like No More Last Place For Us, shmucks. They’re prolly right, too.
Amd speaking of shmucks, Sid starts for TX in an hour. This blimp is flyin’.

Today's MLB.com audio is slightly ahead of the video-- so you get to hear that Huff strikes out before he actually does, as in visually.
Thanks, guys. It’s bad enough with the other-side-of-the-world delay I already have.
That’s OK, Titov, just keep commenting—like we care! Yers truly, MLB.com
OK, d-bags, I will. MLB.com sucks.
Ha-ha, lump it! Why don’t you try the other online baseball providers, hee-hee.

Well, $15 for a season of all games audio
is kinda a sweet deal, since I can’t get O’s games on the radio in Salisbury.

I'm guessing he hurt his shoulder.
Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised if he slightly separated it.

Luke Scott's gotta be from New Jersey or LI
I’ll look it up, but I’d be surprised at anything else with that hair.

Depends where in FL
Atlantic side yes, absolutely. Gulf side not so much. That’s mostly where Midwesterners & Canadians go to retire.
Middle of the state (other than Orlando) & the panhandle? That’s “Yew look jes’ like a hawg!” territory.
You can't fix stupid. Stupid is forever.

I think if that first ball is caught it changes the whole dynamic of the inning.
Really annoying as a pitcher.

what happened?
I’m working with the game on in one corner of my computer screen and missed the original offense.
"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again."

What’s the deal?
by Dr Orpheus on May 11, 2008 3:53 PM EDT 0 recs
You really sound stupid whenever you talk about him.
Since he’s played in all 38 games this year.
Also he had hits in his last two ABs which is as many hits as we have in the game…
