Baltimore Sun says we sent down McCrory. I expect Cintron in the line-up tonight with Boom Boom and B-Rob taking the day off. I expected Salazar, but with B-Rob's foot injury, they were forced to bring Cintron up. Boom Boom, you are officially on the clock, if you don't produce then your competition is already here.

From The (Baltimore) Sun online
The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of infielder Alex Cintron from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned right-handed pitcher Bob McCrory to Norfolk. The Orioles now have a full 40-man roster.

Cintron was batting .288 in 16 games with Norfolk. The 29-year-old infielder was signed by the Orioles as a minor league free agent on March 31. Cintron is a career .277 hitter in 598 games in the major leagues. In his career, he has played with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox.

yeah, not really...

i mean, cintron is more of hernandez replacement/roberts understudy. he’s pretty strictly a middle infield guy, while bynum is kind of a bizarro (or even a poor man’s?) chone figgins. he can play middle infield AND competently hold down the jay payton role in outfield, but he’s got decent power as opposed to chone’s on-base skills.

ronnie's a dillweed.

Bynum

That’d be a very poor man’s Chone Figgins if you ask me.

I see him as the black Super Joe McEwing. Which is maybe the most awesome thing ever.
