It's a POLL! What was the bestest part of last night?

So, vote for your option about what was the BEST part of Tuesday's win!

Jeter getting knocked out of the game for sticking his hand in front of a Daniel Cabrera fastball.

Go ahead and vote Other!

I went with the first option
But that was a pretty tough decision.
4 hits and 4 RBIs from Jones deserves to be up there, too.

I didn't want this to be an 11 option quiz
but you’re right, Jones’ 4 for 5 kinda got lost in the shuffle

Getting another win.
Close second – the look on Mike Mussina’s face when the 7th run scored. It said “I’ve been beaten by both teams tonight. Maybe I should take up fishing full time.”

Moose getting shelled. God, I still hate that guy.

Here are some of my possibilities for the best part of last night
-Watching the Yankees fans start to leave in the third inning.
-This totally awesome and way into it (and I think developmentally disabled) Oriole fan sitting below us wearing an old school O’s hat, recreational goggles (a la Chris Sabo), and an Adam Jones jersey who was there with his Yankee fan mom.
-Sarah (brooklynlovesorioles) yelling at some fat financial services-type with a bowl cut sitting a couple sections across from us.
-Having the pain in the ass of going up to the Bronx under the threat of rain actually pay off.
It was pretty fun. I hope more than two participants of this site can make it next time.

i really dorta dug luke scott’s bomb, but, yeah: batting around in the first AND knocking out moose was pretty satisfying.

Are we trying
to jinx Danny? I feel like another quality start by him last night takes the cake. However, we probably should watch how often we discuss his success (JINX). If he can manage to finish this season with numbers reflective of how he’s pitched so far, that would be (for me) the highlight of the ‘08 season. Like some others, I’ve been rooting for this kid for a long time.

No way...
Talking him up has been working so far, if you believe in that kinda jinx thing, so I’m going on a limb and saying he finishes with a meaningless W-L record of 23-3. Yeah, that sounds good. Go get ‘em tiger.

I voted for Scott's tater
Though knocking out Mussina also works.

If it wasn't dishonest
I would sign out and vote for all of them.

Coming in today and saying to my self-satisfied Yankee fan co-worker “Some game last night, eh?”
He says “Don’t remind me.”
I’m heading over now to remind him.

this sucks
I live in freaking KY and don’t know any Yankee’s fans… gloating isn’t just as fun when they’re all Reds fans.

I voted for Luke's upper deck shot...
but I also enjoyed Jim Hunter at the end of the postgame show…

I have some Yankee fans I need to call….

Hope they get the game in tonight
I live about an hour north and east of Yankee Stadium and we’re supposed to get thunderstorms here. It’s lightly raining now.

I voted for 7-0 in the first.
And it couldn’t happen to a nicer Moose.
Not online last night to see it, but when a NY-based Orioles fan checks in in the middle of a performance, that’s birdland.

I also loved Cap'n Jeter hitting into a Double Play in his first at bat
Right after making that game-changing error.
Nice game, Jetes!

Luke Scott and zknower: Kings of Birdland.
"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again."

yeah...
i gotta admit that z checking in during intermission was a pretty slick move.

I wanted to vote for Other ("Z's friend stealing WiFi to watch the Yerkees get beat")
figuring the guy was risking jail time for The Cause, but the thing kept saying “Oops, can’t post your comment, try again later”—and then all of CC went dead. DId anybody else have an apocalyptic moment like that yesterday?
Anyway, I agree with 26: Luke and Z definitely ruled that game.

Yeah
I was afraid for a second that my work decided to block it. THEN what would I do all day?
