GET RID OF TRACHSEL
the title of the page should remove the 'N' from DINE so it reads Tonight we DIE with Trachsel. the man is horrible. not only does he pitch like a floundering fish trying to find water, but he pitches with no emotion and seems to show no concern for pitching bad. he nice 6.75 era coming in, that 1 2/3 innings of 9 earned will help that. We could use albers, or bring up someone young to fill his spot. he was past his prime long ago and we should not keep him around. he sucks

who voted to keep him?
really? he has no trade value. and if you want to keep pitching him to try to build trade value, then you’re insane. we arent getting a cerry/moore deal for him this year (and probably shouldnt have last year, but thats why the cubs havent won in 100 years). he was supposed to be a “horse”. 1 2/3 innings, 9 ER is not a horse. it didnt work, thanks for trying, now take your money and be on your way.
i mean seriously, someone want him to keep pitching for the o’s?

I didn't vote yes but
I can see keeping him on as a innings eater mop up guy on a trial basis. Wait, no scratch that. Longoria went yard twice on him, so he obviously doesn’t even have AAA quality stuff anymore. I mean, Ponson looks better than this guy right now. Rocky Cherry might be more valuable. 8.82 ERA, 25/42 Strikes/Pitches, 4 fly balls and ZERO ground balls, all adds up to GTFO. If we’re gonna have disastrous outings like that I’d rather see Liz serve them up.
Longoria is actually good
So I wouldn’t say that he’s a AAA hitter.
But still, time for Trax to go. See what Penn can do, or something.
huh?
Longoria is one of the best young ballplayers on the planet. If I’m starting a team from scratch and I have to take Evan Longoria or any single Oriole, I take Longoria every time.

OK
I’m not saying that Longoria sucks, I’m saying that Trashman does. Probably a bad example, but my point was that EL doesn’t have to adjust to Trashman’s pseudo MLB quality pitching.
Seriously
DFA time. Trachsel was a low-risk signing, no reason to cling to it. Let’s see what one of the younger guys can do, it really can’t be worse.
Acronyms seperated at birth?
I like the way that DFA is close to DTMFA, “dump the motherfucker already”.
(Gotta read savage love over at the Onion to get the reference)
Writing is God's way of showing you how sloppy your thinking is.
you guys are way off
trachsel has a lot of potential
i have decided that this whole 'tipping pitches' nonesense is BS
coming from the mouth of a guy who desperately wants to stay in the rotation. Trade him for a bucket of balls I say.
Did you see Diamond Dave's response?
He wasn’t buying it, either. Kranitz is backing up one of his boys – that’s expected. DD? He’s the truth sayer.

Who the hell wants to keep him?
And Z-8, sc-3 in the ol’ Cabrera Bowl.

I assume
they MUST have a reason for keeping him—not wanting to rush the youngsters up to the bigs or whatever. But how can sending a guy out every 5 days to get shelled for 2 or 3 innings make sense?

hooray! trach's next start skipped!
wow. this team isnt being run by morons!

I was greatly encouraged by that development

Trachsel
The Title shoud have read the Yankee,s will dine on Trachsel Today
TRACHSEL IS THE MAN- DESERVES A CHANCE TO PITCH W/O WAITING 14 DAYS!
Trax, can control a game, is well seasoned, wants to win, and a team player. I can’t believe that anyone who knows baseball, would expect anything but a poor outing after not pitching for 14 days! Don’t make him a scapegoat. He was the most consistent starter on the team last year. Let him pitch regularly, and he will rise to the occassion. Dump him in every 14, and you get what you deserve.
Poor outing after 14 days...
as opposed to his sterling performances earlier this year?
What possible evidence is there that Trachsel will be usefule this year?

Give Cash a call
I’m sure reasonable terms can be arranged for taking Hawkins back.
You can't fix stupid. Stupid is forever.

NO JOKE, NOT HIS MOM. PITCHED PRETTY DAMN GREAT TODAY.
