Amazing story!

HOUSTON (AP)—When Miguel Tejada met 8-year-old Jacob Scott on Friday, he was so touched by the little boy with muscular dystrophy he promised him a home run.

And he actually delivered ... I have no lost feelings over Tejada, but that is a hell of an accomplishment.

I wonder if it will receive a lot of press. ESPN casually brought it up this morning.

Or is calling a home run only special if done by a member of the most storied franchise in the history of the world?

yeah I saw this

Good story. Tejader is kicking serious ass this season, which has been lost in the headlines about the Yankees not winning, the Yankees having injuries, the Yankees having a new manager, the party being over for the Yankees?, the Yankees rebounding, the Yankees being banned from eating ice cream, the Yankees having a loudmouth fool for an owner, the Yankees rivalry with the Red Sox, and the Yankees playing baseball games.

So ...

Does Tejada’s year so far in Houston confirm that he was not really giving his best in Balt the last few years?

Tejada's first two years were great.

Last year was a down season, but it could just be an isolated down year. He could have been loafing around too.

last few years?

Mother of pearl, what did you expect him to do? Hit 50 home runs? He had two great seasons and one season where he got injured and was just a little off.

He may not have always ran hard to first

and God know he would pick the worst times to GiDP, but his numbers say he gave us two really good seasons and one acceptable one. I certainly don’t feel cheated.

It's the "team leadership" thing where he choked

Also, I didn’t care for it when he framed Rafael Palmeiro.

I didn’t care for it when he framed Rafael Palmeiro.

That’s Raffy’s story. I wouldn’t be surprised if Raffy tested positive because of something that Tejada gave him. But I’m highly doubtful that Raffy didn’t damn well know what was in whatever Tejada gave him. I mean B-12 is a common code word for roids. There’s often a subtle wink and nod when comes to passing along roids and Raffy is playing ignorant. Don’t buy it for a second.

No, he didn't frame Raffy, either
