Take THAT, losangelesangelsofanaheim!
O's WIN 4-3!
I didn't watch the game, but here's a place to chat if you did. Notable:
- what slump? Nicky goes 2 for 4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI!
- Guts finally gets his first win since July 27 of last year
- Mora bunts home Luis Luis, so expect to see more bunting from Melmo. Mora is also caught stealing, so expect to see .... more stealing from Melmo.
- The Orioles lead the majors in one-run victories with a record of 8-2.
You KNOW who's pitching today. I will try not to jinx him by naming him here.

Good night all around for ex-Birdlanders
Because the TV was on at my night job and I was forced to watch it, I got to see Erik Bedard dominate the Yankees last night. It was fun to watch the storied Bombers flail away at the man on the TV. Of course, most of the other Mariners other than Ichiro suck and Erik didn’t get the win. His “teammates” made 4 (yes, 4!) errors in the first three innings to hand the game to the Yankees.
Also, Miguel Tejeda is clobbering National League pitching. He’s up to .350 and hit a 2-run homer last night that he’d promised a sick kid in the hospital (so says the press accounts, though with Miggy I’d want a signed affidavit from the kid before I’d really believbe it).

Good for Miggy and Erik
I’m big fans of both of them and wish them the best.
The trades had to be made, but every time I see Luis flail or a starter get bombed, I miss them.
