"I can do anything and everything you want to do on a baseball field," Bynum said. "If you want me to run the catcher over, I can run him over. If you want me to drop-kick somebody, I'll drop-kick them. I am ready. I am ready to play ball."

That quote actually makes me love The Boom. Just a little.
"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again."

Maybe I’ve been spoiled at the SS position being a lifelong Orioles fan, but a month+ of Luis Hernandez has been so shocking to my system that I’m of a mind to buy a Bynum jersey.

LOVE A LOT
He basically was saying the same thing on the radio last night after the game. In fact, he said he played shortstop for most of his career! Let’s just let him play SS until someone better comes along or until it can be decided that he’s worse that Luis. Just like Diamond Dave said.

First let him
charge straight at some hard ground balls. If he does that, we might all get excited and ask for something more interesting.
...one more dying quail a week and you're playing in Yankee Stadium...
