Willie Randolph gets fired

I guess the Mets just fired Willie Randolph. What is sort of head scratching is not why he was fired, but the fact that the only other guy on the coaching staff who was really qualified to be the interim manager is practically a clone of Willie Randolph in former White Sox Manager Jerry Manuel. This story is going to be all over ESPN so make sure to get fill of it on Camden Chat and not on the Worldwide leader.

It was all Willie Randolph's Fault . . .
that his team was old and no longer able to take steroids.
This is a classic example of a general manager firing the manager before it occurs to his bosses to fire him. The same thing cost Mike Hargrove his job in Cleveland (and in a roundabout way in Baltimore).
Willie Randolph was fine, maybe not Joe McCarthy, but he was certainly good enough. The team’s performance was a direct reflection of the players Randolph had available to him, who were not nearly as great as everyone seemed to think they were. That’s the responsibility of Omar Minaya, not Willie Randolph.
No idea what he credentials are but,
how about he comes over here and take our hitting coach’s place?

I don't care
