Road Trippin'

I'll be at Millar Park this Sunday to see the O's battle the Brewers. Looks like it'll be Garrett Olson trying to stop the Sunday jinx. We'll be sitting in section 111 row 21 if anyone is going to be there, stop by! I've never been to Miller Park and I'm excited. If anyone has been there, any tips?

Fast foward to Thursday, 26 June, and I'll be at Wrigley Field to see the O's vs. Cubs. Our seats there aren't nearly as good, but more expensive funnily enough. We'll be in section 415 row 8. I have been to Wrigley before, but not in about 10 years. After the game I'm sure we'll go out somewhere near the stadium. Any O's fans in the area it'd be nice to meet up.

Way back when I bought these tickets before the season began, I was worried the O's might have already started a downward spiral by the time this trip, so I'm delighted that they're still playing exciting ball. Hopefully I'll get to see a few wins on the road.

miller park

i just got back from both miller park and wrigley this past week.. miller park is a great stadium but its like a football game.. fireworks and cheerleaders were a little much for me at a baseball game. if your able to drive and park, get there early, there is a ton of tailgating going on, i took a taxi in and was disappointed that i missed out on it, it was pouring and the parking lot was still packed. also, if you get a chance, get a brat with the secret stadium sauce, its unbelievable.
nothing beats the atmosphere at wrigley. get off the L train and your right in wrigleyfield, there is no possible way you cant have fun there. i was lucky enough to see zambrano vs hudson..enjoy both, im jealous that your getting to see the o’s at each

Some people ask me what I do during winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do, I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Roger Hornsby

Second that

point about getting there early if you are driving and parking. But not to tailgate, just because when we went in 2005 the backup on the ramps into the lots was insane. My brother had to grab an illegal spot to drop us off while he parked and hiked.

Nicely designed park though. We were way up in the upper decks but you still someone felt close to the field. Good folks too—we encountered lots of old time Milwaukeers who were dying to tell out of towners their Hank Aaron stories. You’ll have a good time.

Ok, so really it should say

“The Milwaukae” I just hate Latinate forms.

Of course. I even saw

Laverne and Shirley skipping down the street, arm in arm, reciting a popular Yiddish-American hopscotch chant: “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight! Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!”

Wrigley is a great place to catch a game

(most of) the fans are the nicest ever. the rest are awful and depressed that they live in the midwest.

EVERYBODY NEEDS TO COME TO NEW YORK FOR THE JULY 28-30 SERIES

I’m flying up from New Orleans. I’ll be sitting in Section 57 in the Bleachers. I already talked with 33 and he said that he might be coming. Send me an e-mail (nawlinsoriole@gmail.com) if you plan on coming. I’d love to meet up. GEAUX EAUX’s!!!
