Maybe if I hadn’t overnapped we wouldn’t have had the problem at all.

Hell of a play by Rolen.
I have the RSN feed tonight so I don’t have as much to talk about. They’re not nearly as annoying as Hunter and Buck.
"Yesterday I was lying, today I am telling the truth." -- Bob Arum
is that the blue jays feed?
that’s what’s on mlb.tv
the color guy spends the whole game stating the obvious in a very folksy way.
“see, what you WANNA do, you WANNA try to MAXIMIZE your opportunities at the plate”. that kinda thing.
But he’s not annoying, more just harmless.
He’s one of the slowest players in the league.

apparently the jays want halladay to face the yanks tomorrow
Yes, I should say that, which, I should say that.
Why would you waste Halladay on the Orioles when John Parrish will probably do just as well?

I have to think Halladay is good enough to get over it.
Plus maybe Parrish begged. GIMME A SHOT, CITO. I CAN BEAT THESE GUYS.

They’re pretty similarly shitty. Parrish has a better power arm, Burres has better breaking stuff. But as far as effectiveness goes, they both just suck, so big whoop.
Burres, also, knows how to step it up. You just wait!

Anyone can play LF if they can play outfield. Rios is only CFing because of Wells being out (again (money well spent, J.P.))

Toronto commentary rules
“Everyone said when they lost Tejada, aw no one’s gonna get anything to hit” - I don’t know what that part means, I never really heard that (maybe “Markakis isn’t getting anything to hit”) - “but I think they’re a BETTER hitting team THIS year.”

Stupid small ball. Can we have a rule that no one is allowed to make an out on the basepaths when Markakis is at the plate?
i kind of agree with this... why POTENTIALLY waste an out when a guy who can crank a homer
is at the plate?
Why people, why?

best I've heard
“Get off your knees ump, you’re blowing the game”
From the very, very, very, very drunk guy in the next section over at a Suns-Shorebirds game.
best I've heard is a season ago at Greenville Drive game (Sox low A)
“Umpire belongs in a geratic ward”
The guy was really drunk and the fact he used the term geratic ward in a sentence impressed me
http://www.oriolecentral.wordpress.com/
Actually no...
The team’s first season here there were no dollar beer thursdays. The game went 14 or 15 innings so dude had to have drunk a ton of 3 buck beers in 7 innings

So I'm monitoring this game
via cellphone updates at a hotel bar in Pittsburgh. Yankees, lose, THHHHEEEEE Yankees lose, and I see the O’s are up 4-2 late in the game. Then it’s 5-4, it’s the 9th, I’ve got 3 screwdirvers in me, what the hell? Shutdown’s gonna close it out. He’s a fuckin’ All-Star, right?
WHAT THE FUCK HAPENED, SHUTDOWN? I became that angry drunk no one wants to be around. And I’m sitting around 3 other board members of the non-profit I’m on (with now 4 screwdrivers in me). Yeah, me shouting “What the fuck, Shutdown?” in a hotel bar after a PIT win over the Yankees went over REAL well. That fourth screwdriver? That was angry drinkin’ there, let me tell ya.
