weird.

these guiys have identical WHIPs, BBs and Ks. Yet one has a BAA of .203 and an ERA of 2.84, while the other has a .BAA of 258 and an ERA of 4.40.

So I guess the point is Dice K walks A LOT of people (same number as Danny in 2/3 the innings!) but no one hits him?

I hope Orioles hitters are patient today in their efforts to beat the Sunday curse.

He doesn’t give up any hits and he can strike people out to get out of jams. Daisuke’s ERA is pretty low for his peripherals, but strikeouts make a big difference.

I know you are wondering, so...

I am watching the game on the couch with my kid. I ate a turkey sandwich. He ate some Cheerios. I’m thinking about having a beer.

by Awesome Mike Awesome on Jul 13, 2008 1:59 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

the question is...

what condiments were on the sandwhich, and what kind of bread?

by getxstoked on Jul 13, 2008 2:01 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

No the question is

where was he FRIDAY?

I'd just like

to see him show up in a game the Sox are actually losing, instead of always coming over to gloat when they win.

If you'd get your head out of your butt

you might notice I next to never post in this god damn threads, win, lose or draw. In fact, why don’t you spend the day finding an example of a time I gloated during (or heck, shortly after) a game. You are so concerned about my whereabouts I think it will be good for your peace of mind. And I’ll give you a hint: the only one is when Wily Mo Pena raped Chris Ray for a grand slam. Happy hunting!

Boston's official scorer is a retard.

That should have been an error on Bynum and an unearned run for Danny.

And the latter is in HD, woo-hoo!

have you tried Olive Restaurant on Court St yet?

They are giving Zaytoon’s a run for their money. AWESOME.

by zknower on Jul 13, 2008 2:10 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

oh my. i love me some zaytoons.

haven’t tried olive yet.

but i did just eat a falafel sandwich from damascus … on atlantic ave.

oh sweet allah those are tasty.

Yes, I should say that, which, I should say that.

by thewaywardO on Jul 13, 2008 2:12 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

$4.

Yes, I should say that, which, I should say that.

by thewaywardO on Jul 13, 2008 2:14 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

just for example....

you got some meat. mmmm. delicious. now put some saunce on the there. even better!

or let’s say you have some ice cream. yummy! now add a little saunce. HOLY COW!

of course, it’s important to put the proper sauce with the proper food. for example, you wouldn’t want to put chocolate sauce on a steak.

Yes, I should say that, which, I should say that.

by thewaywardO on Jul 13, 2008 2:10 PM EDT   0 recs

you'd be surprised.

dark dark chocolate on a steak might work okay.

when i marinate a steak, i use a little brown sugar…carmelization does wonders.

by zknower on Jul 13, 2008 2:14 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

oh i agree.

sugar is the secret to getting a good scald on a grilled steak!

but there are limits to sauce-meat interactions.

i hope this isn't racist, but...

have you ever noticed how some peoples are extra good at sauce, while others are’nt?

for example: greeks. arabs. french. GOOD AT SaUCE.

whereas: germans. english. NOT GOOD AT SAUCE.

Yes, I should say that, which, I should say that.

wikipedia seems to imply that perhaps polad is where vodka began

but this line made me laugh…

The “vodka belt” countries of central and eastern Europe and Nordic countries are the historic home of vodka, and also have the highest vodka consumption in the world

by thewaywardO on Jul 13, 2008 2:19 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I've chowed down in Brighton Beach (aka Moscow West) but can't recall the restaurant

—except to say that luckily, I wasn’t paying. It was in the late 80’s, one of those emigre supper club arrangements (incl. floor show). The food was good, but the tab ran into the hundreds for the 4 of us. Cash only, of course.

The place was, shall we say, authentically Mafia-ed out.
