Francona said he thought winning pitcher Scott Kazmir had a little more left in him (perhaps another inning, or maybe two) despite having pitched on Sunday. But Francona seemed to suggest his next thought was to ask game MVP J.D. Drew to pitch. "He's been bugging me a long time to pitch. He might have gotten his chance," Francona said.

I kinda wish we could've seen that

I heard McClouth was being considered as well.

Yeah...

Nice HR by JD, but it was nice hear Berman admit that maybe Sherrill should have been the MVP… the guy did pitch 2.1 scoreless extra innings; more than any other AL pitcher in the game. Do you think that helped his trade value?

Evan Longoria was on the short list

Kazmir was saying “He’s got a good curveball.”

Or maybe he just wanted out.
