The New York Yankees have reached a tentative agreement with Richie Sexson, who was released by the Seattle Mariners a week ago.
Sexson fits in New York because the Yankees needed a right-handed slugger to match up against left-handed pitching -- and Sexson had a .344 average against lefties this year.

That would be Sexson
As in, “I think it’s time to have a little talk about sex, son.”

Yeah I was spacing when I typed that.
I was gonna call him the Sexman or Mr. Sex but then I went with Sexton for some random ass reason.

Bodes well for our ability to trade Aubrey Huff
If MFY is desperate enough for Sexson, hitters will be at a premium.

No reason they can't have both
As soon as it’s a 100% guaranteed lock that Matsui isn’t coming back this year & they need a LH bat, you watch – Hank will be all like, “Screw this collusion bullshit, we’re signing him!”
I would welcome this for no other reason than to watch all the vindictive, bitter, self-righteous sportswriters go batshit insane.
But no, I don’t want Andy going anywhere near him. As Duck often points out, “Does he fit in with a long term plan?” “Does he make the difference between winning & losing THIS year?” If you get no on both, stay away.
You can't fix stupid. Stupid is forever.

Sorry, I'm a little slow
But who are “they,” and what is it they can have both of? And who don’t you want Andy going anwhere near?
(Speak slowly with small words, I’ll be ok.)

Right, sorry for not being more clear
Look at the top post & you’ll see “so much for considering Barry Bonds”, meaning that the Yankees won’t go for him now that they have Sexon. I think they will if Matsui’s out for the year.
And while this would make sense for them, it would not make sense for the Os.
You can't fix stupid. Stupid is forever.

Yeah, no doubt—Bonds would be wrong, wrong, wrong.

if they can get him to shut up about being an everyday player...
then it could be a good signing for them. lets hope he just continues running his mouth
