It doesn't only happen to us...
check out the mets giving up 6 runs in the ninth. sure, it may not have happened on any kind of holiday (at least not that i'm aware of), but it happened while facing a division rival that they're currently neck and neck with for the national league east lead. looks like someone needs bullpen help. i think i may just know a team that has a few pieces it could trade away...

I was there and that occured to me as well
I went with a friend of my father’s who has Mets season tickets.
After they took out Santana my Dad’s friend said, “OK, how are they going to fuck this up?”
I think that’s the biggest 9th inning comeback I’ve actually attended.

It doesn't happen to us that often, either....
Every team had a bad inning periodically, but you really need to go back to the 2007 Mother’s Day Massacre to see a 9th inning meltdown comparable to what the Mets experienced. Of course, the Mets did it at Shea, rather than on the road at Fenway.
